Positive Locking Pins, also known as Push Button Pins or Ball Lock Pins, provide a convenient solution for the securing, adjusting, and for the removal of accessories from equipment. Our Quick Release Button Pins have a button-style head that provides a low profile, yet fully functional push-bottom actuations.
The ball detents will not collapse in without pushing of the button. A fitting ring on the handle allows for easy attachment of an optional wire lanyard, or a wire rope lanyard to help with loss prevention.
Handle and button material comes in cast aluminum and offers lighter weight benefits to steel, while providing rust proof properties. Our pins come in two material options.
Low Carbon Steel offers strength and durability at a low-cost, making it a good economical choice. The zinc plating finish provides good corrosion resistance. Stainless Steel pins provide high strength and hardness as well as superior corrosion resistance properties.

Once the fastening pin is inserted into the application, the Location Pin cannot be removed until the user depresses a button on the top of the T Handle or Recessed Grip. Once the button is depressed it releases two balls at the base of the pin allowing the user to insert and remove from the hole freely.
Available in metric and imperial (inch) sizes these hand operated fasteners can be used to quickly remove equipment from military vehicles, aircraft, and helicopters as well a high-performance cars and marine applications such as yachts.
The extra height and smaller width of the grip make the button more accessible in tight spaces. For a more secure hold than standard quick-release pins, these pins lock in place until you push the button to release the spring-loaded retaining balls. Use them in a hole as close to the diameter as possible, but not larger than the diameter at extended ball height.
Choose a pin with a lanyard to keep the pin from getting lost when removed.
