SS 303 stainless steel was developed for easy cutting and is basically an 18-8 stainless steel. It improves cutting performance while maintaining good mechanical properties.SS 303 material has a higher sulphur content, which reduces resistance to cutting tools, but has a negative effect on corrosion resistance, which is therefore not as good as AISI 304 stainless steel.
SS303 material is mainly used for parts that need to be machined, ground or polished, and is suitable for fast cutting to manufacture rolls, shafts, bolts, nuts, etc.
